We generally always recommend turning on your infrared sauna around 10 minutes before you hop in. This will give the panels time to reach their required temperature. This will also give you time to get your drink bottle filled and get changed into your sauna attire.

Placing a towel on the seat and on the floor will greatly help with keeping your infrared sauna clean and sanitary. Also taking a damp facecloth in with you and wiping yourself down not only feels great but helps with perspiration. If you do get some sweat marks on the interior simply use a damp cloth to wipe them clean.

Keep hydrated. We recommend taking a water bottle into the sauna with you and sipping on water throughout your session. Having a few glasses of water before getting into the sauna will also help to keep you hydrated. Try to steer clear of sugary sports drinks. Coconut water is a better option.

What should you wear in an infrared sauna? Less is best in our opinion. If possible it is best to sauna with no clothing at all. If this isn’t possible or you don’t feel comfortable doing so then bathers or a towel is your next best option.

Using a sauna is a great way to relax and unwind. Simply sit, close your eyes and clear your mind. A few other options to pass the time are reading and listening to music or if you are up for the challenge you may partake in some light exercise. More on this to come.
